how tough are queen arabesque plecos?

well i got a 20g with a red devil blood parrot freak fish. that im moving to a 55g soon. the algea is going crazy. i try to scrape but after 7 days its just worst. anyways the deco is an upside down terracota pot, a giant fake but cool amazon sword plant. i want to get some drifwood.i thought a queen arabeesque pleco would be nice .it would be with cories and cockatoo dwarfs. does a queen arabesque require a large aquarium even thought they are relatively small?by th eway the filter is anaquaclear 150

I had mine in a 55 with Discus. They suck as algae eaters and are hardly seen. But the sight is remarkable. I really don't know how tough they are though. I had a Tiger pleco in there and he was a real tough guy.
