I just bought one of them. Not knowing a lot about catfish I asked for some advice in the shop and bought it as I was told it would get 6-8" I get home and do my research and find it's going to get to 12"

Oh well, it is a cool fish. I haven't found it to be shy at all. It is VERY greedy though

seedy whats your magic trick for all of those great pictures, I use a digi cam and still end up with blury photos or reflections, on rare occasion i'll snap a decent shot but usually get frustrated before i end up with anything decent.

Ok...the new pics are not camera phone...I've gotten a lot of help from Glaive, Finz and others in the photography forum here that have improved my skills (and I've gotten lucky) :)...

Lately, I've been setting the focus on the camera manually and have been using a flash at an angle to the tank to minimize glare....I also burn through a memory stick or two just to get a few good images...I'd like to get a remote flash to set above the tank, but just haven't been able to get it worked into the budget...pluss, I think I need to take some classes/and or read a book about basic photography techniques, as I am not extremely knowledgeable on the subject. I credit the afordability and availability of digital camera equipment that just a few years ago would have been "professional" high end quality.... and the inexpensiveness "per image" of digital media...

I think I only paid about $8 USD for him....The store had 3 of them for quite a while, asking more than $20 each...I quitely watched as they started discounting their more expensive fish, until I just couldn't resist any more...I ended up getting all three of them...I traded two away and still have this one.

Great pics I was looking for a synodonis cat for my african tank but there are so many species of syno, yours looks great.Have you seen a syno angelicus, they have a cool look too.I saw some like yours today at the fish store but I think they were too small for my tank.I don`t want them to take a beating.
