can i keep a texas in a tank with my jag and buttikoferi?

Depends on what size tank. Unless you have a pretty big tank like over 125g I wouldn't even keep the jag and the butti together. That is the bad part about big aggressive cichlids, they are so nice looking and appealing but they can't usually be kept with anything.

First of all keeping africans and S A cichlids. they shouldn't be kept together but the ones you have aren't that different in tank setups. IF i was you i would trade both of them in and start from sratch. You will have a very hard time when they reach full size. You won't be able to add any fish with a foot and a half jag swimming around. 140 LOL you need a 500.

I am going off your other posts you have a 30gal and thinking about buying a 140gal. if you put the texas in the 30 it will die in hours if not minutes. and if you got the 140 it would be fine but put the texas in first. and in a week or so add the other 2. How big is this texas? make sure he is the same size and or if not bigger than the other 2. he may die in there too. this is a good little site for fish profiles info http://aquadex.info/database.htm
