Does anyone here keep Mono's and know about them? cos one of mine is growing exremely bigger than the other;besides getting darker and less shiny. I've been told it is a territory issue; but still I can't know:confused:

Please describe the tank you are keeping them in and also the water parameters and salinity and maybe I can help.

monos are saltwater fish that can live in brackish waters as juvies. is there any salt (NaCl) in your tank?

edit: the same is true of scats, btw--as adults, they both need full saltwater.

Gypsy is correct, you need to slowly convert your tank to brackish and take the clown loaches out if you want your monos to thrive.
Can anyone tell me how big 120 litres is?

i think it's about 45 gallons(3.3 liters/gal?)

If you have two, that size might work. If you have more that two, you should go to a 75 optimally as a minimum. They can grow quite large. Approximately the same size as a full grown Discus but more active.
