Planning on installing an UGJ into a new 75 gal. I will be using eggcrate on bottom of tank.
Any suggestions on pump brand and pump size as well as number of jet to set up and placement in the tank.
Thanks for the info.

surprised that no one has set up under gravel jets and have commented on this post.

I think thats because not many people use UGF's anymore. Especially with cichlids and their digging habits. They usually make an ugf useless. To be honest UGF are old technology. I'd go with a canister and a HOB for that tank.

Try a search on this site for under gravel jets and you should turn up some results. Seems I remember many people using reversed power heads for them, ac ones usually.
PSsst Heyguy UGJ not ugf lol:D

Go to Cichlid-Forum.com and do a search for under gravel jets or ugj.
Enough reading to keep you busy for days.
Cool concept. I am going to put them in my next tank.
