can anyone help me id this catfish? supposed to be african. I have 2,and am trying to get a better pic. they are about 6-7" and have the coolest head.shoulder edging.

I have just acquired two of these cats, full grown. they are great with the mbuna, and are nice to watch together. thanks for the name to the face.
I have just spent the last bit reading up on them.
they ever try to eat any of the fish? midnight snackers if you know what I mean.

They do defend themselves well. Never had any predation. Although when I had to net mine to transfer it to a different tank, it got it's spines tangled in the net, and began croaking like a frog on meth when I removed it from the water!

Yeah,
same thing here with the croaking.
they going on like a bullfrog when I netted them. his underbelly looks and feels like a frog gut, too.
