My Kenyi had fry 28 days on the button! Every time I take a count I find another ( I'm up to seven) Any tips on feeding, I'm grinding flakes but having trouble getting them to the fry. They are all under rocks and hiding in a shell. When will they come out and swim around a little? the mother is back in the main tank (55) and doing good and dad is very happy to see her. Even though Kenyi have been my most exciting and successful tank set up I'm thinking of trading them in for something a little less roudy! Anyone out there thinking Kenyi can't be that aggressive are in for a shock!

You should try frozen baby brine shrimp. It comes in cubes & I cut the cubes into smaller pieces. It melts in the water & floats all over, into every crack & crevice. And it's small enough for baby cichlids. I fed mine this for two months & now that they are bigger, I'm feeding daphnia (water fleas).

Congrats :D Kenyi were the first cichlids that I had spawn. I had 8 fry that I raised on live baby brine shrimp and crushed flakes when I was making more BBS. My male kenyi are quite aggressive, I'm in the same boat as you. I'm going to have to sell/trade mine. I have a beat up male kenyi, one of my female cobalt blues that was holding alot of babies got beat up too and lost her fry :x and then today I find my female Johanni hiding in her little rock beat up a bit. BTW I noticed the fry seem to come out alot more once there is no big fish around and you've started feeding them regularly. Its fun watching the little guys try and get aggressive towards eachother when they are so tiny heh, might just be playing.. who knows.
