View Full Version : Shutoff valves for tubing to canister filter???

Does anyone know where i can find 2 shut-off valves to go between the intakes and my canister filter??? I have checked everywhere in town and no one sells them individually. im just looking for something to stop the flow of water from my tank and canister filter when im changing the filter media etc etc so water doesnt syphon out of the tank!

try the online places like www.bigals.com or drs foster and smith... at the lfs here they sell them... kinda wierd they don't sell them there

Have you tried Home Depot? You should def be able to find it at a hardware store in the plumbing section.

thanks very much. after some futher investigation, i found that they are primarily known as "canister tap connectors". Did a froogle search and came up with a BUNCH!
