Anyone want to take a shot at this one. I was thinking it was a convict I don't know anymore. Doesn't act like any other one I have and colors don't seem right. Also the bump on his head is a lot bigger than on larger convicts I have.

How large is the fish? And are you sure he is a "he"?

Nope he could be a she I don't know. I took several shots and that was the best. I'll try though. Only comes out of there when it is dark. It is about 3.5 inches.

Pete, I think it is a convict. I had a convict that was almost the same color. Mine was brownish grey with some yellow on it and an enourmous nuchal hump. Almost never had vertical lines. This thing was mean as can be though. I had him in with a small red devil and he almost took him out. The behavior of yours is strange though. You should vent it.
