Synodontis Nigriventris

I have had four syno nigriventris for about mmm maybe 3 mos or so in a 29 g tank with four giant danios and a female zebra. The Synos seem to have not grown any from their original size of about 1 inch, neither have the giant danios... I am wondering, is there something wrong or is that about their adult size? Figures I have seen range from 2 in to 4 in for both the danios and synos... maybe they meant cm instead of inches? Thanks for any help. :)

The upside down catfish should hit about 4". Clean water with low nitrate is the main contributer to rapid fish growth but, most Synodontis probably grow so slowly "rapid" would not be a very discriptive word.
