separating glass

need sump material for bubble trap. have 7 or 8 ten gals. perfect glass for inside sump. how do i separate without breaking? the sil bead inside is gone. only sil between panes is there. pretty tough stuff.

Run a razor down the seam. Carpet razor would work.

A 4" window scraping blade works nice to clean it up but you could buy new glass cut to size for less than what you would pay for a good one.

A piece could be bought at a glass pane shop for a couple bucks.

yea i know, i guess the cost of my hobbies are kinda gettn outa line. i just did the 125 and the wife wants a 75 reef. i fooled with it a little but decide 6 bucks a square was cheaper than the ER should the glass/blade slip. its amazing how much 1/8 " glass will bend. thanks Z.
