Currently, I have a 4" chocolate albino pleco in my tank. I've been wondering why he is a bit "lazy" ever since I brought him/her home. I have recently noticed that it only has one eye. It looks totally healed so I'm not sure if one of my cichs took it for a snack or if it was like that when I bought it but this probably explains why he lets the wafers sit, sometimes overnight. When I put zuccini in the tank, he doesnt even try to catch it. I think I'm going to trade him in and get another. After reading up on this site, I've learned there are many different kinds. So, my question is this--Is there a pleco that doesn't poop as much as most, maybe one that is a bit smaller? If there is a smaller one, do you think it would survive with a JD and GT? I never really notice mine getting picked on much but he does get torn fins once in a while, but then again, he's not the fastest swimmer, probably because he only has one eye.
