Ok I'm a novice with photography but is it supposed to be damn near impossible to take a decent picture? I swear I must have taken 150 pics before I got these three different shots and even then it was an accident.
Also it looks a bit grainy... I guess its because I dont have strong enough lighting in the tank?

Also I've noticed that taking pics of a small tank is way WAY easier. Maybe its the thinner glass?
Thinner glass definitely makes for sharper pictures. Thanks for sharing your shots with us!

I like this one....cus it's a cichlid....http://powerthings.com/pics/goldram.jpg
Dont fear on how many clicks you gotta go through before you get a good shot. Even the best photographers are only hoping for maybe 1 great shot out of 36....
.......I've gotta get on board this whole "digi-cam" thing... developing Photorah's film is pricey...and my cameraphone is just not cutting it...

Thanks everyone for replying :)
Now as for the digital photography thing. I'm quite new to it too. I mean I've always had a camera but never used it but finally decided I want to try and get into it as a hobby.
Some great resources for cameras and reviews are:

It helped me a lot choosing a camera. When I did finally decide to spend some big $$, I went with the Canon Digital Rebel. It was pricey but I went for it. My friend has a G series canon. I think its an older G3 and he's very happy with it. Even before my Rebel, I had a Canon A75 and it was very good for a compact camera. As you can tell, I like Canons but Fuji and Nikon are great too.
I went with the Canon because at the time it was using cheaper Compact Flash memory so I could buy double the memory for the same price. Well that and the fact that it did very well on average on the reviews.
Now I just gotta learn how to use my camera :)

Thanks :) I feel good that people are liking them. At first I thought they were good... then I saw some photos others had taken on the net and I thought WOW now mine look kinda crappy and grainy but I guess I'm still learning so I'll keep at it. Hardest thing is to avoid flash reflections off the glass. Well that and making sure the fish is there when you're pressing the button :)
