New females holding? unfortunately, no but the dominant male chases them constantly. I'm wondering if I should isolate him an let the other male do the honors.

The holding female ? I'm not sure what is going on with her. It looks like she is still holding but not as many.

I have noticed that the female will have a very full mouth when she first has eggs. As the eggs develop she appears not to be as full as before and then they begin growing in her mouth and it looks as if she'll bust. This seems to be the norm.

You could remove the dominant male but you'll probably disturb the group too much. I'd just let him continue doing his thing. Your less dominant male will get a sneak or two in.:wink: You can count on that!

You might only have a couple of fry from her the first go around till she figures the whole process out.

I have noticed this also, with other mouthbrooders...the eggs are large, once they start using the yolk sack it looks skinnier...then as the fry grow she looks like she's "gonna pop"....
