whats the origin of this fish? i heard its sometimes also called a Golden Rainbow Killie

Guessing that this is <I>Aplocheilus lineatus</I> (did a quick SE search), I'm moving this to the Noncichlid Forum. If you receive no quick replies, you might want to do a search on google.com or some other SE using the scientific name, if only to check if that's your fish.

I have two in my community tank. They are also called golden wonder panchax, and they are very nice indeed. They are killifish, and i got two of them for 20 dollars canadian. They are nice fish, and they love bloodworms...

Adam. do u nkow if they are African or S.American? if African? what lake are they from?

Killifish don't come from lakes, they come from puddles in africa. I don't think they are cichlids though, but we may be talking about two completely different things.
