has anyone kept freshwater clams in a malawi tank i saw these at my lfs and i was like whoa there was such thing? i gota have some becuase they guy said they keep the water clean becuase they are filter eater or somthing like that..... so any info would be great

i have heard about them although i have never used them. supposedly they will eat up you nitrates which helps. on another note if you are thinking of getting them you should never add any type of copper into the tank like most of the cures for ich because it killes them. HTH.

ive heard that when they breed they send out parasitic off spring thats the only thing im worried about any info on that?

some clams do some don't you'll need to figure out which you want and research it
