i am soon to get a 180 gallon tank. what do u suggest for the bottom. sand or gravel (rocks)

Its really just your personal choice. Personally I like black sand. Maybe you like white sand, or brown gravels. Its all up to you. But I would suggest you get something natural and not blue or orange.

I really liked the look of sand, until the green algae started to grow on it. Add that with the difficulty I've had cleaning a tank with sand, and I'll probably use gravel in all of my future tanks. Too bad, cause the sand was really sweet looking for a few weeks...
