I am currently new to fish keeping. I ahve a 60 gallon with a pair of 3 1/2 inch Oscars, 3 inch Green Terror, 3 inch clown loach (5 others were eaten by naughty Oscar), and a 3 inch pleco. I probably overcrowded too much. Should i get rid of both Oscars or just 1 and add which kind of fish?

Welcome to the board! Two Oscars and a Green Terror is quite a bit for a 60g (oscars can reach 16"). The best thing would be to take one back. And then another smaller species could replace it. What other species do you like? Do you know about Red Humps, Polleni, Nicaraguense, ect? Also, what kind of filtration do you have? And what is your water changeing schedule?
Good luck

I plan on replacing it with another cichlid. Maybe a firemouth or Black convict. I have an Aquaclear 300 and 500 on my tank. I do monthly water changes. I might just bring both Oscars back. If you thought I'm overdoing it, my friend has 3 Adult Oscars and a Green Terror in his 60 Gallon. !!!

I would not keep an Oscar, a Green terror and a Convict/Firemouth in a 60g with monthly water changes. If you can step that up to 30% or more a week, then you should be fine. Get a Pyhton water changer and it will be a breeze. If you can't commit to this then you might want to take both Oscars back.
Good luck

I plan on taking both Oscars back for smaller sized cichlids. Can jewel cichlids live okay with Green terrors? When is it possible to tell the sex of a green terror? Mines a lil over 3 inches long.

Yes, Jewel cichlids should work out fine. At 3-4" you can make an educated guess about your Green Terror's sex. But you can not know for sure until it is over 4" and vented.

Rex, when can you start venting Oscars?

Nearly all Americans can be vented at around 4".
