View Full Version : 3 bristle noses in a 40 breeder?

Ok, I added a pair (hopefully m/f) of Ancistrus sp. "plecos" to my 40 breeder (the one with the white calvus) to make for a total of 3 bristle noses.......

Since the calvus and plecos both use the same general type of shape to breed, and I have lots of large shells/caves that are properly shaped, I'm hoping to spawn both in the same tank....I plan on removing the structure that the fish breed in before the fry get too large so one species dosn't eat the fry of the other (both calvus and plecos are known to be fry eaters....)

Also residing in the tank is a medium large (7-8 inch) Synodontis decorus....

Any feedback/thoughts on this set up?

It's the best I could do on the moment Rudy....But you should see him flutter around the tank when he does come out...really near catfish...
