I have a 150G oceanic tank that I want to build into my wall in the dinning room. It will be in my office and look like a normal tank set up. But in my dinning room it will have the look of a built in tank. The problem is in my dinning room I have chair rail all the way around and it is 3 ft high, I want the tank bottom to be 1ft higher then that. That makes the bottom of the tank at 4 ft and the top of the tank at 6ft 5 in. Is this safe? All the stand plans I saw were at the highest 28 in. Since I am adding 4x6's in the wall I will be able to attach the stand to those as well for added support. I am just worried that the weight at that height will be unstable.

I would think that having the top of the tank that high would make it difficult to maintain unless you're really tall...
I'm 5'10" & I have to stand on a chair to reach the back of my tank & rearrange stuff on the bottom to vacuum, & the top of that tank is at about 5'5". The stability depends on the base that you build for it.
