You do not have room for this fish in your 60 gallon tank. They get quite large.

for your info crazy fish lady i also have a 300 gallon so yes i have the room. I didnt even say i wanted one now did i. i wanted info so back off.
take it easy joscar!!!! shes a nice lady, she just, like the rest of us usually hears oyu ask about your 60....i read your threads and their almost always about what can go with what in a 60, which isnt a bad thing at all! BUT i never read about your 300, n maybe she didnt either- so its all cool man relax n make nice with the crazyfishlady...and if not then you need to back off n chill. maybe youve had a hard day- its happened to me too, try trying your best to keep a great punk rock band together when all your working with is a semi full time whisky weesel and a skitso junky to scared of his own shadow to dry himself out and THEN arguing with someone about fish?!?!?! of all things. the trick is dont argue, you ask- you get your answer, if you read it wrongly or it was a little rude- just clarify that you didnt mean to be narky, and im SURE neither did they- people here are from all walks of life from very young to parents from artisits to constructionworkers and even scientists, but we're all pretty nice n we only ever come here to say g'day n help out people who ask for it. be cool joscar, n take care man. good luck finding the fish you wanted! byebye

Joscar,do a google search for the fish you are intersted in,you'll get basic needs info quick that way.if you are looking for personal experiences and opinions on certain fish then by all means post your question, but don't be surprised if you don't get the answer you are looking for,as these are just member's opinions and experiences that have worked for us.i think you owe crazyfishlady an apology, she had the well being of the fish in mind when she posted, none of us knew you had a 300 gallon tank.i know the first thing i thought was you wanted to try it out in your 60 as you have posted quite a few questions regarding stocking options for that tank.so relax, enjoy it here on the forums and be courtious to others.

Thats the way to own up to your mistake!
Now back to the Clown knife....
As far as I am concerned they get to large to keep in anything under 3 feet wide (and that is a stretch) so a 300 gallon won't do. These fish get easily over 2.5-3 feet.
As far as keeping them concerned. I have heard they are very hardy. They must be because every resteraunt with a filthy 55 gallon seems to keep them alive somehow. As far as food goes, get ready to start supporting your fish as they eat a ton and do better on live.

Hmmm, I never meant to cause a ruckus, and I didn't mean to offend you joscar. I assumed you were talking about your 60 gallon still, as you have had numerous posts about how to stock it, and had not mentioned a 300 gallon tank before. I apologize if my response was short. Anyhoo...good info from Rudy. They are facinating fish. I recently saw some on aquabid with elephant noses that were really crazy looking. If you're still interested in a knife you should check them out.
